Monday, May 9th, Star of Kings

Well it was a tougher room at The Star of Kings last night than we’ve had in a long time at G&B, but the acts upped their game to meet it. First to the stage was the hilarious Sam Roulston and why the smoke from the tamboti leaves you feeling warm in all the wrong places. James Townsend was next with some poetry that covered everything from Buddha to turtles and hair chewing to lemons. Tuesday, Star of Kings, April 26th

Tuesday night at The Star of Kings turned out a really fun show full of new faces. First up was Danny Scott and the joys of being a teacher in the garden of England, which is just behind the Greggs of Kent. Next was James White who hasn’t, as of today, bought a plastic bag in five years; he just steals them now. After James we had another James this one James Danielewski and the suitable punishment for putting milk in your tea first: chain them to a radiator. Just ask Boy George!
