Sunday, March 20th, Star of Kings

Sunday at The Star of Kings kicked off with the mellifluous marvel that is Barbara Fernandez, whose top half is very American and her lower echelons decidedly Parisienne. It was then over to Donal Vaughan, a man who proudly proclaims he is an anti-vegan: he can’t eat anything that hasn’t suffered to get to his plate. Next was Cedric Aubert and The Action Man gay nightclub set that came complete with tiny bottles of poppers and leather chaps. After Cedric was Geet Chawla, whose parents were a bit like the EU in as much as they weren’t happy with the

Sunday, March 13th, Star of Kings

Sunday afternoon at The Star of Kings with Jake O’Brien Murphy, a man so committed to his comedy he came to the club straight from a colonoscopy, which by the sounds of it was done by Dyno-Rod. We then had a memorable set from Christof Epaminondas. Unfortunately, it was Christof’s cousin, Gabriel, that we’ll all be remembering. Duffy Connors was after Christof with some tips on what to do if your ferry is delayed. Next was Dora Flowers and why you should always swat up on your molecular biology before a first date. It was then over to Joey Abels

Sunday, March 6th, Star of Kings

It was our Sunday afternoon show at The Star of Kings yesterday and the show got off to a cracking start with Tino Giaccotto and his breaking news that if you think the fact it’s your birthday means anything whatsoever to bar staff, you’re sadly mistaken. It was then over to Matthew Healy and some advice on how not to name your kid if you live in Romford. Jakob Tanner was next with news that he’s split up with his girlfriend. They wanted different things, mainly he wanted a relationship with her and she didn’t. Gary Manhine was after Jakob

G&B’s Dark Delights, Star of Kings, February 22nd

So last night was G&B’s Dark Delights, our homage to all things dark and twisted in comedy and what a fabulous night it was. Kicking things off we had Billy Kerr who reckons losing your hair is a bit like losing your virginity: it’s all over and done before you know it. Jaz Mattu was next with his lamentation to Bobbins the cat…plus a fuck you to comedy course advice. We then had the deliciously dark diva, Hannah O’Donnell who gives kudos to Eunice’s recent blowjob skills. Stephen Portlock was after Hannah with spunk in the eye of God before

G&B’s Dark Delights, a celebration of the darker side of comedy

February 22nd at The Star of Kings sees another of G&B’s Dark Delight Shows, an evening celebrating the darker side of comedy. Definitely an evening not for those who are easily offended or who love to take offence on behalf of someone their neighbour’s sister once met on holiday. Headlining we’ve the gloriously reprehensible Anthony Gilét and the deliciously deviant Declan Kennedy and the rest of the basket of deplorables will be: Hannah O’Donnell Ben Henley Tom Cousins Stephen Portlock Theresa Bradstreet Gareth Edward Jacob Hatton Craig Craw Essam Aljaedy Billy Kerr Mark Vincent Jakob Tanner Joe Davies Jaz Mattu

Wednesday, 17th February, Arch One

It was an absolute cracker of a night at Arch1 last night with a host of very new acts utterly storming their sets. First up to the mic was the wonderful Dora Flowers. Dora gave the crowd some very useful tips on covering your ass in your internet search history. It was then over to Jack Short and his favourite free cheese and wine afternoon. Praise the Lord! After Jack was Richard Wright, an act from Tunbridge Wells where the kids are named after midrange hatchbacks. It was then over to Zach Marczika who became a vegan because he thought
