It was a fun night at The Bell on Tuesday. First to the stage was Michael Campuzano and why Crawley isn’t the Madrid of Sussex. We then had Rosie G and Neanderthal Tinder. Next was Helena Moody, who miraculously found her coming out letter on someone else’s phone. After Helena was Nathan Jacobs and why making your interns dress up as a butler is still fun. The glorious Marigold Lately (pictured) then demonstrated a host of fascinating talents including burlesque and ventriloquism. After this was Rick Murtagh and why it’s best to leave your phone off stage. Closing the first half was Eddie Rojas and the problem with your first pair of skinny jeans and the LGBT sales’ pitch.
After the break, and why you should never play magicians at cards, we got off to a great start thanks to Callum Mackenzie, who recently got put in his place by a six year old. Mel Dram then gave us an insight into hipster Jesus before Sofia Cano told us just how much she loves being an immigrant…far away from America. Next was Mark Kendrick Johnson. If you want to really piss him off, call him “daddy”. It was then over to Elizabeth Leff, another American, but one who did it the old fashioned way and got born there. Kieran Dee aka Dr Evil or Humpty Dumpty…the choice is yours. Closing the show was the hilarious Chris Ford, a man with a kink for cheese and ham toasties, which he reckons might make him very popular as the caterer at sex parties.
So that was Tuesday at The Bell. Headlining next Tuesday we have Kim Hope and Sally Porter.
