Richard Wheatley
Wednesday night at The Bell was an absolute cracker of a gig. This was a really fun show from start to finish. Opening the show was the hilarious Paul Little who almost had a problem booking a babysitter…because he doesn’t have kids! Next was David Ferguson, a man who has suffered shameful prejudice, for the texture of his skin. It was then over to Sofia Cano who is taking some with readjustment now that she’s discovered here in the UK she’s white. After Sofia was Marc Cohen and a rather impressive crowd work set. Isaac Kirby then told us a tale of teddyphillia that we’ll not forget in a hurry before Kamien Deane confessed to having a later ego to protect his work from finding out he’s not boring. Closing the first half was the fabulous Mj Hunter, aka Princess fat dick, a man with a history of chasing off wrong uns.
After the break, and a bit of stellar mind reading, we got off to a cracking start thanks to Rosie G and the bouncy castle United Nations. It was then over to Iffy Shaik, a man who has a thing or two to say to Reform UK. Willow Marler then told us the truth about laser hair removal before Ferdy Turral demonstrated just why he could never get a job at EuroDisney. Closing the show was the simply brilliant Richard Wheatley (pictured) and a truly awesome set. Richard let us in on why black socks age you and why despite not being able to drive, he can park for free.
Well that was an absolutely awesome night. And we’ve a busy week there next week with G&B’s New Act Competition at The Bell on Tuesday and Christmas Girlpower at The Bell on Wednesday. Hopefully see you then.
