So were were at Arch1 last night and it was a fun and interesting show. We kicked off with something a bit visual and Adam B and his weird and wonderful colour changing silks. Next was Jan who was here with partner, aka “the documents”. After Jan was Declan Evans who admits to being a lover of the cider or, as he prefers to think of it, his five a day. The simply fabulous Indi Madray was next with why she thinks it’s ok to call Rishi Sunak the “P” word: prick! It was then over to Mark Vincent who was recently thrown out of his local Wetherspoons for doing something out of order in the loos: he had a crap. Tom Vousden was next with the low points of a haiku. It was then over to Luke Richards whose art teacher told him he was an absolute perfectionist…but a crap artist. It was then the turn of Louie Falls with gamer monikers and why Bond might not live. It was then over to David Sands, whom without a single word had the room in hysterics. Closing the first half was Robin Banks who posed the question when is a haircut not a haircut? When it’s rubbish…he, he…
After the break and a bit more magic, we got off to a great start with Louie Mclean who went to an art gallery on Sunday…cos it was air conditioned! James Wood was next with cat scissoring and other assorted feline freaky. After James we had Gabriel Bowker, who was the 2nd act in a row to have a hand up their stage partner. We then had Jim Hooker whom as a divorced man in his 30’s laments the fact he can’t go on all inclusive holidays on his own without looking like everyone’s creepy uncle. 1977 skateboard champion, Tony Carr, was next with why he thinks Boris Johnson needs a valet. It was then over to Dave Goodmaye who doesn’t drink or do drugs, but he has a much more fun pursuit these days. The evening’s penultimate act was Ro Dodgson. Ro worries when people say they look 15, which means they don’t look 12 anymore. Closing the show was the hilarious Kim Hope, our most recent Girlpower competition winner. Kim, also known at home as the Rubbish Fairy and domestic binfluencer, gave us a sommelier’s breakdown of a quality night out. Great stuff.
Well that was another fun night at Arch 1. We’re back here next Wednesday with headliners Adam B and Harun Musho’d.
