Indi Madray
The comedy Sunday afternoon at Royal George Charing Cross Road kicked off thanks to Stanislav Gunko whose motherland has celebrated the best of both political worlds: high taxes and zero democracy. Amber Phillips then told us of her most low paid Zoom gig. Ajay then told us just the white man crossed the road…it wasn’t good. It was then over to Tony Carr and just why he’s a big fan of Herrod’s. After Tony was Janet Lynn and some great tips on how to teach your dog to appreciate good charcuterie. Next was James Streeter, who wonders sometimes if he’s less a romantic interest and more like homework. Closing the first half was the hilarious Aarian Mehrabani and what the Cyrus Cylinder wasn’t and what the Iranian penis is.
After the break, and a bit of there card monte craziness, Charlotte Imbert told us what her new puppy might one day be called…if the app ever takes off. Next was Roger Gewolb, a man suffering after a rather busy nightlife. We then had Toffie Hanbury and the big difference between business and pleasure. Christopher Foulser then gave us some great advice on how to make your garden a dark and nicely threatening place for kids. Tom Garney then told us of the story when he drove home with his face creamed. Our penultimate act was the fabulous Sam Day, a man with a musical take on Network Rail and its many musical possibilities. Closing the show was the brilliant Indi Madray (pictured), a racially non-binary act who longs for the day she can be known as Bad Bitch. But never wants to be called any of the name’s Stan wants to call her.
