So kicking off our first show of 2026 at The Bell was the voice of the gentry and the beard of Fisherman’s Friends, the hilarious Rich Bunn. Next was Matt Withers, who lamented 2025 and declared his “love” for Elon Musk. It was then over to Charlie Firth, who survived his set without a single shot fired. We then had Martin Ashworth and how if feels for humans when they bite a Magnum crack. After Martin was Jamie Huffmaster and the US high school drinking game. Here’s a clue, it starts with 3 shots. Tony Carr then gave us some advice on how to discourage unsolicited dick pics before Jacob Tidmarsh (pictured) overestimated Swedish sexual prowess. Next was Cameron Holder and the south African theory of temporal management. Hot on cameron’s heels was Sonny Savage, who’s leaning towards Christianity due to that seasonal banger, Away In a Manger. Closing the first half was Megan O’Brien, who can’t believe she’s not Kerrygold and was never cut out for gang life.
Kicking off the evening’s second half was the gloriously sweaty Heavy Flo, aka Calvin Smith. It was then the turn of the UK’s #1 pufferfish impersonator, Ben Cooper. Ferdy Turral then showed how to look Dutch over the phone before Ellis Strong let us in on his little “family” business. After ellis was Mohammad Ayoub, who explained why fights in saunas are problematic. The brilliant Max Devine was next with a selection of Knitted Christmas vests…from his mum. Our penultimate act was David Ferguson, a man who can make muesli from the most spartan cupboard. Our final act was the fabulous Matthew Hunter. Following several acts setting the benchmark, MJ was feeling ok about his comedy filth content to close the show.
So that was Tuesday at The Bell. Headlining next week we have the hilarious Eddie Rojas and Chiff Powell.
