Marc Salmon
Day three back after New Year and another great gig. This time at Arch1 and we had a blast. First up was the hilarious Bas Rahman and when it’s ok to wish someone a Happy New year…according to Bas, whenever she body likes! Declan Evans was next with just why you should be careful what ingredients goes into her sponge cakes. After Declan was Belle Gold and everything from Macbeth’s witches to doggie fur coats. Richie Roberts was next with his recent gym injury: wankers arm. After Richie we had Ben Marciano and why imaginary dog shit when tripping is as bad as it gets. We then had Mac O’Donnell and the irony of taking career advice from someone who chose career advice as career. It was then over to Jack Scullion and the deep, literary power of beer mat poetry. Closing the first half was the hilarious Luke Richards and how to successfully mansplain mansplaining and why AI jokes might not be as funny as hoped.
After the break we had a bit of post-festive mind reading magic before we got all musical thanks to Marc Salmon (pictured) and a song dedicated to a lost love with massive hands. It was then over to Akachi and when a sibling can quite literally be called a little shit. After Akachi was Sophie Bing whose New Year resolution is to learn a new language. She decided on Australian. It was then over to Alex Gogarty, the Smithers of the suffragette movement, before Jim Hooker told us of the tale of the record producer who never got any. Closing the show was Mr Corporate himself, the brilliant Phillip Cornwall. Like a stealthy inspiration ninja, Phil took the crowd through the forest of creativity to empower everyone to be able to proactively facilitate cross-functional bandwidths. Deep.
So that was last night at Arch One and it was a really fun show. We’re next at Arch1 on February 7th when Britain’s Got Talent, Suzi Wild will be your headliner.
