Wednesday, October 21st, The Bell
Wednesday night at The Bell kicked off with some big laughs thanks to the hilarious Anna Donald, who may or may not be related to Susan Boyle…she’s soooo not! It was then over to Aarian Mehrabani and how to get yourself an NHS goodie bag before Arabella Barrington-Carr (pictured) -aka Catherine Lamb – told us all about the ins and outs of the Prince previously known as Andrew and his new hoteling status. It was then over to Alex Cockburn and a tale of modern romance we have no right to judge…even in Klingon. Hot on Alex’s heels was Kodi McBride, a man who pisses like an overactive SodaStream. Closing the first half was the fabulous Charlie Firth. Charlie’s dad is very supportive of his comedy, but on reflection would probably prefer a boat.
After the break, and a little spooky magic from the spirits, we got off to a great start thanks to James Burley and how to come out in style and fully sedated. After James was Chris Cowan, who just can’t resist telling us about his threesome. Next was Phillip Reiss and the the hits of the 80’s and their happy endings. Marigold Lately then told us all about her youthful desires…for youths! Our penultimate act was Alexander Putilin, who told us why threesomes are patriotic. Closing the show was the brilliant Pete Kinsella, a comic who can never write on the back of his hand or ever fit in a clown car with more than 2 clowns.
