We were at the wonderful Arch1 last night and ad always it was a fun show. First up was our most recent New Act Winner, Max Gill and how to get mugged in an authentic Spanish accent. Next was Jim Hooker and the waterslide physics for the chunkier form. Emmy Fyles then told us of her exotic summer holiday. She went to The Lake District. She’s Northern, so that’s positively Caribbean. It was then over to Tony Carr and how to win at school by losing at spots before Brendan King told us he may or may not be Jesus. So hedge your bets and laugh! Frances Jane then told us how much she loved drag, but isn’t a member of their union. After Frances was Matthew Bentley, who was recently on holiday with his grandparents for their final farewell tour. Mr Corporate, Phillip Cornwall, then gave a thought shower to the intellectually dynamic energisers in the audience before Peter Withers (pictured) let us in on how to best steal the eyes from a sleeping parent. Closing the first half was Marc Salmon and fast track adrenaline meditation for the busy man.
After the break and a bit of mindreading card magic we got off to a cracking start thanks to the hilarious Paul Little, who does a disturbingly accurate impression of a steam room. Next was Nathan Good with psychic sex coaches and litigious exes. After Nathan was Shaz who told us her genetic heritage is 50% Cypriot and 50% hair. Hot on Shaz’s heels was Ollie Taylor and just why Ramses II was a bit of a dick. Mossy then confessed to maybe having got himself a prescription for tiny penis before Declan Evans warned us he might possibly be the worst person to organise a stag do. It was then the turn of Eden Taylor-Tapp and hot surfer dude Harry Potter fan fiction. Barry Matthews then confessed he wasn’t a looked as a kid. He even got knocked back by Jimmy Saville. Closing the show was Christopher Ford, a man who was tempted over to the dark side by the cock glorifying yoga arts.
Well, as always, that was a fun night at Arch1. We’re next at The Arch on September 27th. Headlining that night we have the brilliant Pete Kinsella and G&B’s reigning queen of the All Stars, the hilarious Sallyann Fellowes.
