G&B’s Pride show at Royal George (Soho)

Thursday was G&B’s Pride Show at The Royal George, an evening with a jam-packed line-up of LGBT comedy…and 2 sacrificial heterosexuals. Kicking off the campery was the hilarious Marco Del Valle and why his mom is trying to get him a sugar daddy. Next was the wonderful Georgia Thorp, who was selling bits of sky. We then had Kevin Collins, a man who has done his bit for European relations. After Kevin was Andrew Conway, who did his bit to defend the world’s Andrews. Charlotte Imbert then told us the tale of the missing tampon before Isaac Kirby gave some tips on how to keep your skin looking good: bathe in milk. The fabulous Tracey Bowman was next with tales when in the 80s she was out and about with her friends. Well, they were out and she was about. After Tracey was Aarian Mehrabani, a man who has been classified as a bit of a player. Barbara Fernandez then dedicated a song to her dad and had the audience screaming Ewwwwww in unison. Closing the show the the hilarious Nick Morey, whose mum has seen more than she needs of his extracurricular activity, but not enough of The Guardian articles he’s tried slipping her.
After the break Lottie Grogan got things going by explaining Pride in all its glory. It was then over to our gay Dane Erik Olsen, who’s here on a break from defending Greenland. It was then over to Chris Cowan, aka Mr Whippy, because most of the guys who are into him are flakes. We then had Nick Bain, who told us all about the game of reverse hungry hippos. Nina then explained just how much our asylum system demands you demonstrate how gay you are. Our penultimate act was Sophie Stemmons, aka the War on Terror, according to her parents. Closing the show was the simply fabulous Kuan-wen Huang (pictured), an act who goes down a storm in Liverpool and is a big admirer of Scottish translucence.
