Write-up by guest MC Mj Hunter
We had a fantastic time at The Royal George last night. The evening kicked off with Paul Little, G&B’s resident silver fox, who entertained us with tales of his dad working in big chocolate. Madelaine Crabb then took the stage, sharing how her friend Katie got married to a man because of their mutual love for coleslaw. Jon Lee followed, recounting his university journey to become less of an arsehole. Next up was Deniro B Stocks, who revealed to us that he didn’t realise Jesus came from Croydon, possibly explaining his anger issues. Archie Keen educated us on the first past the post-election system, and then Emma Peet made it clear she is not a fan of hen parties. Amogh Margoor was next with his highly recognisable voice. Tiger shared his dissatisfaction with his grandma’s gift and his rather dark plan for securing his inheritance—murder. Closing the first half was Charlie Firth (pictured), G&B’s top shagger, who can now bench press a car thanks to his unconventional workout technique.
Our second half began with Barbara Fernandez, who provided musical self-help tips on performing your own surgery. Eliz Avni then hosted a lively debate on how best to dry your swimsuit. Ed Templer, is in his early 30s and doesn’t like it, but at least he has his favourite spoon. Declan Evans joked about losing his job at the post office but got away with some Christmas tips. Alex Waterhouse admitted to hiding his West Country roots, while Tom Simons showcased his unique approach to problem-solving through rap. Jamie-Dean, admitted he doesn’t like eye contact but he does like the front rows shoes. Then closing the show was Mr. Corporate himself, Phillip Cornwall, who shared his struggles with kicking the corporate buzzword habit.
So that was our show. Headlining next Thursday we have Callum Mackenzie and Kwami Odoom.
