Kerry Thompson

Last night at the Star of Kings we had a fun evening, with Mark Vincent starting things off with fab money saving tips, such as investing in a burial plot – for buy-to-let. Mac O’Donnell shared his flatmate was well impressed with his coworker’s latest job – widow – before Declan Evans gave excellent reasons for not being impressed with his family: his nan ruining his school play. Jacob Tidmarsh was next with his many split decisions as a ballet dancer, followed by Kerry Thompson (pictured) who says shaving his head makes him the envy of all the guys – if their new look is Walter White in a Greggs. It was then over to Eytan Bayme with the dollars pounding pounds and inches beating centimeters, followed by Callum Mackenzie‘s trials and tribulations with cutthroat barbers and a plumber who needs to be told which way to turn a screw. Closing the first half was the fab Tony Carr. Tony says kids take all the fun out of being a parent – cause you now have to bring ’em with you to the pub.

Our second half kicked off with Phillip Cornwall‘s stirfrying ideas in the think wok and purees of opportunity with low-hanging fruit, followed by James Alexander Allen who says he’s not a conventional Taurus, not to be confused with Tory. We then took a trip to Eastern (or central) Europe thanks to Mike L (Michal Uchal), where some have found the perfect way to emigrate: become an astronaut. James Burnham gave us pita bread lovers a rebrand of pita-phile before Amogh Margoor proudly announced his date slept with him right away…till the waiter came, that is. Our penultimate act was Jon Lee with a fabulous song about rad jackets, daddy issues and dongs that could rival the Milky Way before our closing headliner, the wonderful Phil Green. Phil is campaigning for better representation of the broken middle-aged man – divorced dad gladiators.

So that was our night! Join us next Monday at the Star with Mr Corporate himself, the man with the masters in buzzword phraseology, the brilliant Phillip Cornwall.
