We had an incredible time at the Royal George last night. Kicking off the evening was Indi Madray, who revealed that she has a racist man living inside her. Declan Evans followed, advocating for equality as an equal opportunity mugger. Mac O’Donnell shared an unfortunate realisation about his dad’s preferences. Lauren Rivers then took the stage, proudly declaring her black belt in squat toilet-jitsu. Matt Scott was up next with tales of being bullied by his phone’s face ID. Rohan Ashar expressed his enduring love for trains despite the TFL’s best efforts to change his mind. Megan O’Brien found a new money-making scheme right in our front row, then came Fred Bell who was in Afghanistan, which might explain why he was late. Next up was Cheryl Hurst, who doesn’t discriminate against boyfriends based on their math skills, happily dates a man who can’t count past 24. Closing the first half was Kwami Odoom, the new ambassador for Wood Green, who misses microaggressions.
Opening the second half, Siân Spry shared her special relationship with her nail salon. Nick Morey (pictured) did a (not so) spot-on impression of his Northern Irish therapist. Lenny Consolo pointed out that people often mistake his mother for my favourite food. Lindsey Pugh pointed out how the backdrop of our stage is a very familiar image for her. Tiger, needing to get laughs to save his job, kept us all laughing. Joe Sangha had a bone to pick with white people. Then the punderful Ricky Baker entertained us with tales of how he has gotten into meditation. Eliz Avni recounted her recent family holiday to Cyprus. Pop Daddy (aka Paul Haworth) introduced us to his brand new revolutionary trouser-wearing technique – backwards! Closing the show was Callum Mackenzie, who has found some of the worst-named high street stores.
So that was our show!
