It was a buzzing Thursday night at The Royal George with a packed room and plenty of energy. First to the stage was Martina O’Sullivan , the proud owner of an Italian mother in law. Next was Gabriel Celaya, whose therapist has full confidence in the quality of her work. It was then over to Kyriakos Vlachos, who rather enjoys men giving him orders. After Kyriacos we had Amber Phillips and her ever reliable co pilot, a crippling sense of shame. Carlos Donovan then offered us a whole new definition of street food before Marcos Brito charmed the room by being a lovely person who still hates human beings, much like a cat. Kate Mc then revealed her safe word, the ever versatile tzatziki, before Sam Edwards told us about the time his sister took sibling rivalry up a notch. Declan Evans followed with the tale of a missing dog and his renewed determination to find it. Closing the half was the brilliant Chiff Powell, who took us all the way to North Devon’s premier theme park.
After the break the laughter carried on thanks to Pete Kinsella, a man no one wants to sit next to on public transport. Mark Rivlin then confessed his love of documentaries about Napoleon before Elena Maria Cotton explained the challenges of having a boyfriend with toxic positivity. Aidan Rafferty was up next and made it clear he has no time for loud door slammers. Arabella Barrington-Carr then reflected on her time as a diversity and inclusion hire at Poundland, while Rosie G shared her experiences making use of the tannoy at A and E. Closing the night in style was Mark Daniels (pictured), who laid out exactly why life can be fully enjoyed without ever having to read Pride and Prejudice.
That wrapped up another cracking Thursday at The Royal George and the crowd left buzzing for the next one.
