Tuesday, November 18th at The Bell got off to a great start thanks to the full on hilarity of Sam Day and his beatbox veggie beats. It was then over to Tony Carr and some great tips on how to gatecrash a funeral. Next was Matt Eley and the crucial difference between an accident and a mistake…and what to name them. After Matt was Tony Matthews and the all singing, all dancing Popeye impersonator. Comedy’s favourite librarian, Paul Little, was next with some great advice from his mum before Alastair Sadler, aka Achilles, gave us some true Homeric laughs. Steve Anderson then proved her was a patient patient and not a doctor on a boat. Closing the first half was Dylan Almeida, a man whose friends are the coolest nerds ever to grip a joystick.
We got the second half going with a bit of mindreading magic before handing over to Felix Parkin to kick off the comedy with just why the Royals are crap deer owners. It was then over to Andrew Steel, a man who doesn’t give a crap about what genders are in what roles in Star Wars. We then had something rather original thanks to Joe Peden (pictured), which was definitely no piracy of anyone else’s material. The puntastic James Loveless was next with the confession he was once a train driver, until he went off the rails. Closing the show was the fabulous Nick Morey. Nick is a bit of a wine expert and just from its subtle bouquet can tell exactly where in the fridge it came from.
