G&B’s Dark Delights at The Bell

Ellis Strong
Tuesday at The Bell was our Dark Delights night, our evening dedicated to comedy’s darker side. Kicking off the evening’s depravity was Mani Ahmed, whose mum would not have liked last night as she always wanted mani to be a lighter delight. It was then over to James Streeter, who has an interesting way to deal with any blind enemies. Next was Andrew Conway and why Trump has one more win coming his way. Richa Ahuja then told us of her graveside confession before Oscar Farrimond told us why he’s sorry Kier Stamer has gone: he liked his policy of making pensioners freeze cos his nan’s got some nice property. Paul Rowinski then took us through an education in life class, specially designed for comedians, with “conditions”. It was then over to Lin Sheng, a man who is throughly confused by biological “squirting”. Closing the first half was the brilliant Ellis Strong (pictured)and the assisted loving facility that he runs and why he misses his grandad’s games of Total Wipeout.
Opening the 2nd half was Barbara Fernandez and why Kansas is like if Luton and Romford had a baby. It was then over to Jason Rose, a modern day Henry VIII, just with more sperm and better hair. Next was Riley Barrasford and why Changi airport is both the best and worst airport in the world. MJ then told us the tale of grandma and the broom and a bit of Mary Poppins. It was then over to Chvonne Parker, a lady who experienced a first thanks to G&B…being called a lady. Our penultimate act was Anton Potasyev, who recently had a check-up which told him he was unable to have kids. Largely due to being skint. Closing the show was the hilarious Calvin Smith who was showing some serious kneevage on stage. He then told us why mental health experts have an awful lot to answer for.
