Pete Kinsella
What an amazing night we had at Arch1 on Wednesday. There’s nowhere quite like The Arch when it gets its groove on. First to get to the stage was the hilarious Declan Evans who wanted to do well at his GCSE’s so he could get into Hogwarts. It was then over to guitar playing comedy impresario Jamie McDonald and a ditty to all the Homo Erectus in the crowd. It was then over to Hidehito and some well hung comedy for the lovers of gag girth before Isaac Kean offered some great life hacks and tips on how to relax on the train. Nathan Ball then gave us a tip on an interesting place to eat out in Luton before Tony Carr gave us the history of the dick pic. Next was Dave Aron, a man who loves a bit of first class travel and its glorious two cheek seating experience. It was then over to the fabulous Dave Bermondsey (aka Seam Anderson), a man from a long line of Daves, right back to his great, great, great grandma Dave. Closing the first half was the brilliant Pete Kinsella (pictured), the man no one will sit next to on the train, regardless of whether he’s singing or cutting his toe nails.
Kicking off the second half we had Scott Smith, who does a rather inspiring impression of a butterfly. Next was Nick Gaughan and the ultimate race to the bottom before Ryan Connor had us wonder just how afraid of the Amazon drones do we need to be. Next up was tech fan, Frank Buytendijk who gave us a quick flash of his eight hour, never-ending tattoo. The evening’s penultimate act was the brilliant Frances Jane, who loves nothing more than listening to those hilarious straight guy sets about what pronouns they go by…regardless of the fact they’re usually adjectives! Closing the show was G&B’s reigning queen of the All Stars, the one and only Sallyann Fellowes. Sallyann, as always, had the crowd in tears of laughter. Just don’t get her started on tortoises, or small heads, or ULEZ, or ADHD…or John Lewis…or Cornwall. Simply fabulous.
So that was Wednesday night at Arch1 and it was a cracker of a night. We’re back at The Arch next Wednesday where we’ll have Gary Walsh and the magical Adam B headlining, so hopefully see you then.
