It was a buzzing night at The Star of Kings on Monday. First to the stage was the hilarious Eoghan Collins. Keep an eye out for his upcoming Netflix documentary…if he hooks up with that TV exec. Declan Kennedy was next and cleared up just what did happen to Thatcher’s hair. Stanislav Gunko then told us that he’s half Ukranian, half Russian. So half of him hates Putin the other half is scared to say how he feels. Next was Rohan Ashar, a man with a history of chair throwing, before SJ Wyatt confessed to being an enthusiastic Whovian. That’s a fan of Doctor Who, not a kink for hoovers. After SJ was Sobin ST (pictured) who dresses well enough to be gay but fails on his blatant heterosexuality. Peter Higgins then told us he’s a great face painter…so long as the face you want painted to Benedict Cumberbatch. It was then over to Kwami Odoom whose mum is called Karen. So Kwami has demanding to speak to the manager in his DNA. Closing the first half was the hilarious James Danielewski, a man who has given hand jobs to mixer taps and once did a decent job of being indecent at Brighton Pride.
After the break we got off to a great start thanks to Nick Morey. Nick hates assumptions, like when people assume he’s a vegan because he’s annoying. Dave Aron was next with some vital language tips wrought of unfortunate experience before Kevan Hall gave us the top five tips on how to be a bit less crap. Mac O’Donnell was next with what was possibly the most brutal passive aggressive heckle. After Mac we had Frank Buytendijk who was a grammar bully at school and deserved the beatings for his trouble. It was then over to Eytan Bayme who has easily the coolest phonetic alphabet that should inspire us all to greater creativity. Next was Adrain Leslie whose lung condition means in the post covid world his cough virtually guarantees him a tube carriage all to himself. After Adrain we had Phil Green who has a frankly fabulous idea for a reboot of the reboot of Gladiators. Closing the show was the brilliant Paul Little. Paul has done imaginary time for racoon seduction and has an impressive door mime that is apparently hilarious in Dutch.
So that was Monday night at The Star of Kings. Next Monday is our Music & Character comedy show with headliners Eoghan Collins and Colin D.H. Smith.
