Sunday afternoon, December 10th, Star of Kings

Bobby Sidebottom
Sunday afternoon at The Star of Kings was another fun show. First up was the hilarious Graciela Martin, who has a soft spot for serial kilers; those guys really know how to multitask. Steve Garry was next with a new professional term previously only known to animators: a sweaty Dentch. You heard it here first. It was then over to Chris Cowan, who reckons being Christian is a bit more FABULOUS, GIRL!, than you might think. After Chris was Tony Carr and the mystery of just who is rating Pure cremations before Hemang Makwana let us in on a secret all about Wetherspoons in Kilburn. It’s where the magic happens, apparently. Stephen Portlock then told us that he’s not a fan of repetitive Buddhism, Buddhism, Buddhism… It was then over to Elspeth Reid on why it is sometimes best to just pee in the dark. Closing the first half we had Mr corporate himself, Phillip Cornwall. Phil has been working with inspiration ninjas and buzz word mixologists to help him turn some corporate phraseologies in an impressive array of linguistic typefaces.
After the break, and a bit of magical mindreading cardistry, we got off to a great start thanks to Paul Little, the man who only wants to catch a break and never a bouquet. Mark Vincent then confessed he loves the taste of lynx Africa before Harsh Thakar told us about those Grindr culinary racists. Hannah Xu then let us in on the problems of having a tiger mom with an eye on the bottom line. After Hannah we had Salma Lyons and when an Irish salad is a bit racist. When it’s about Pat. The afternoon’s penultimate act was Declan Evans who has two half brothers; his dad was a part time magician. Closing the show was the musical Bobby Sidebottom and a sing-a-long we’ll never forget.
So that was Sunday afternoon at The Star of Kings. Headlining next Sunday we have Mark Vincent and Pete Kinsella. See you then.
