It was a sunny Sunday afternoon at The Star of Kings, but we were in a dark basement, so who cares about the sun! Amber Phillips was our first half MC and the first act she brought to the stage was the hilarious Sophie Stemmons and some interesting Hebrew translations. We then had Andrew Conway and the answer to why Andrew Mountbatten Windsor is never seen in saunas. After Andy was Freddie Cornwell, who recently discovered what every women wants: a man with a bed frame and clean sheets. Ella Clark then explained the woes of the pool of talent her generational pool of single men provides. After Ella was Steve Hawthorne and the Gregg’s edible underwear range before Grace Miller explained why vaping was wrong, but smoking not so much…if you work in an all boys school. Hot on Grace’s heels was MJ and the joys of a short holiday romance where you don’t ask they full name. And the danger of it turning out they’re a neighbour back home. The fabulous Tony Carr was next with just how different dick pics were back in his day…and how much the price of a stamp has gone up. Closing the first Half was the brilliant Eoghan Collins, whom in a fight between Kings Charles and trump, it pains him to adit he’d have to root for Charles…because Trump’s an orangeman.
Kicking off the second half was Andrew Steel and the lip, lecture, leave of first date moral superiority. After Andrew was Scarlett Thomas (pictured), an honorary professor with a mysterious and potentially scandalous past, apparently. It was then over to Evan Henley, who exceeded the wildest dreams of a lady in the front row. After Evan was James Streeter and his somewhat eclectic taste in porn. It was then over to Tracey Bowman, who’s just turned 42 and 187 months. Mark Bloodworth then told us just how he’ll do whatever he can to not be caught working at home by his family. Our penultimate act was Erik Olsen, a man who has an architectural ability to create domestic glory holes. Closing the show was the fabulous Willow Marler, who recently did the London Marathon in a not so impressive time…11 years ago.
