Jonny Brace
We had a fun night at The Royal George – it started with Eoghan Collins, who despite offering his neck to all and sundry at school, hasn’t yet achieved his teenage dream of becoming a vampire. It was then over to Tony Carr, who says the best thing about ageing is how great everyone looks – till you put on your specs. Thomas Round then shared the trials of more than one household member in a long-distance relationship: decoding the owner of the latest used tissue, Next was Marc Cohen. Mark discovered living in Switzerland can be fun since you can screw with anything – as long as it isn’t your schedule. Mac O’Donnell shared the intricacies of being street smart, book smart or small town handsome before Andy Alty gave us his pink pensioner’s retirement plan: hanging up his leather jock strap and retiring his poppers – not that anyone’s given his back. Closing the first half was the magical Adam Bownass who, during his Rubix cube marvels, sported more wax in his beard than Mme Tussauds.

Our second half kicked off with Callum Mackenzie and his favourite things about the tube: singing along to the beat of crying strangers and watching miffed train employees miss…their train. After Callum was Steve Tait who insists that yes, the 5 love languages do include oral sex. Next up was Jonny Brace (pictured), with the trials of not being able to read between the lines, even at a train station. Angela Fletcher shared her intolerances that make life challenging: turns out it’s to dairy, gluten and work. Next up was Megan O’Brien who has found the best ever substitute for shagging: Irish dancing. Eytan Bayme shared how to get more points on your license to pick up loyalty points before our closing act, Paul Little, gave us the best place for sex ed for a child – a garage in Croydon. Those calendars gave Paul not only his first glimpse of breasts, but an attraction to time that has only increased…with time.

So that was our show! Join us next Thursday at the Royal George on June 27th with the brilliant Declan Kennedy and our most recent New Act winner, the hilarious Thomas Round!
