Phil Green
Tuesday at The Star of Kings turned out a really fun night. First to the stage was the hilarious Declan Kennedy. During his set, Declan discovered what a crimper is (don’t Google it!). It was then over to Mr Corporate, Phillip Cornwall, and getting your buzz from buzz words. After Phil we had Mark Vincent, the man who diligently went into training for Glastonbury by getting mashed in his garden. Ben Marciano then gave us the lazy nuances of button pushing and trigger pulling before Toni Divic asked when is a thick head of hair not a thick head of hair…? When it’s a short lease. It was then the turn of Tony Carr, the 1979 south east skateboarding champion – according to his mother! Charlie Firth then confessed to having heckled at his own parents wedding before handing over to our first headliner, Seam Anderson. Seam offered some great advice to anyone who ever goes on on the raz with him. Make sure you have a substantial paddock first.
After the break we got off to a cracking start thanks to the brilliant Steve Vertigo, who was once pipped at the post for a BAFTA for his nativity portrayal of a skyscraper. Jo Llewellyn-Jones then gave us his less than Martin Luther dream of a kebab. After jo was the musical Jamie McDonald who gave us some homo erectus erotica melodica. It was then the turn of Kwami Odoom who reliably informs us Finsbury Park has elevated itself to classy thanks to the recent addition of a Gail’s. It was then over to Northern lass, erotic Voiceover artist and Lambert and Butler supermodel, Emmy Fyles. After Emmy we had Seraj Alijan the man who is only too glad not to be a single use Baghdaddy. Closing the show was the fabulous Phil Green (pictured). Phil has the answer to all of those annoying Christmas catch-up letters you get from overly-aspirational family friends. So I wouldn’t get on his bad side.
So that was Tuesday night at The star of Kings and it was a fun gig. Headlining next Tuesday we have Phillip Cornwall and Neil Ben. See you then.
