Kyriakos Vlachos
Sunday, January 25th at Royal George Charing Cross Road was a cracker of a show kicked off thanks to our very own musical marvel, Barbara Fernandez, and why it’s not always about the dicks. It was then over to Katy Barber, who’s still coming to terms with her unrequited love…for Steve Irwin. William Milne then had them in stitches thanks to his date to shag ratio theory. Jordan Hunterthen gave us the ultimate world peace plan: send Geordie mothers in to the front lines to sort it out. Next was Anna Luda and the problems with voyeuristic dogs. After Anna was Richard Taylor and some patriotic, royalist material. Freddie Cornwell told us just what he was willing to compromise for a balance parental dynamic and it turns out diet was a step too far. Closing the first half was the hilarious Kyriakos Vlachos (pictured) and when a coke is harder to swallow than you’d expect and when a doll just isn’t creative.
Opening the night’s second half was Tony Carr and a great tip on quality foreplay. Next was Ella Clark and the generational differences in men and how they now undress with their A.I.s. It was then over to Robert Idel, a man with an interesting fourth date meal deal. After Robert was Alex Groves, who’s a proper cheap pint, pale skinned, proud Northerner. The fabulous Prakash Mistry was next with the shock of finding a white man who works in a call centre. After Prakash was the hilarious James Streeter, who knows no women who’d martyr themselves for 70 of him. We then had Harriet Minter and the sad news of just why 44 is a bitch of an age. The afternoon’s penultimate act was Jake Lyons, a man who’ll tolerate many things, just not nicking his triple cooked chips. Closing the show was the one and only, simply fabulous Pam Ford. From flip flops made for walking to pint glasses made for Prosecco, pam had them in absolute hysterics.
