Kicking of the show on Thursday at Royal George Charing Cross Road was Martin Ashworth and a little West Country word we’re not allowed to use…with an accent. It was then over to Tóki Sørinarson and the mystery of vegan tomato ketchup. After Toki was Alex Green, a man who’s been buffing up so he can pull up his own zips by Christmas. We then had Tony Matthews with some funky music and dance before Ruby Cattanach told us just why she has problems with the sun and make-up on the tube. Closing the first half we had the hilarious Godfrey Mercado, who knows just how to get people to make the perfect cup of tea.
Kicking off the second half, after a wee bit of chance magic, we had the brilliant Evan Henley and some matters of the heart. It was then over to Hannah Elsey and some celeb gossip, or bashing. After Hannah was Hayden Rose and why smelling of sex could be bad for your promotional potential. Daniel Mahony then told us just why threesomes are inherently problematic. Our penultimate act was the fabulous Paul Little. Paul told us why telling him he looks like a librarian doesn’t work as an insult: he’s a librarian! Closing the show was the simple fabulous Richard Wheatley (pictured) and everything from Hogwarts for the blind and how to get through airport security faster than the pilots to why you never want your mum to narrate certain TV series.
