Kicking off the show at the Royal George Charing Cross Road on Thursday was the hilarious Matt Trimble, a man who may not have achieved as much as Macron, but doesn’t have a glass of Steradent by the bed. Next was Declan Kennedy, aka Brexit Wolverine, a man who can take an insult…organised one at a time. It was then over to James Streeter, a man who knows how to get a lady going…so long as she collects football cards. After James was Henry Small, a man who’s hung like a Henry. We then had Owen Stanley, who for reasons best left said just can’t watch the movie Ghost. Matt Tuplin then told us how he’s related to one of the UK’s great anti-Reform campaigners. The puntastic Mark Rivlin then told us just how much Robbie Williams loves anal before the musical brilliance of Roops (pictured) closed the first half with everything from psoriasis to deceased grannies and crapping at parties.
After the break Tom Draper got us off to a cracking start by sharing with us the story of his dark addiction: he’s hooked on candy cigarettes. It was then over to Andy Laird, who was on cracking form, a man whose about to be a father, again. And now questioning all previous life decisions. Especially mint and tea tree shower gel! Max Edgar then told us just why the movie Up nearly cost him a divorce. After Max was Laura Bailey who comes from quite the gene pool…if you never want to eat a vegetable. It was then over to Daniel Mahony, who taught us that you never get the threesome you want; you get the threesome you deserve. Our penultimate act was the brilliant Fred Bell. Thanks to Fred we now know what spelunking means…and so does Fred. Closing the show was the brilliant Mark Vincent. Mark told us that he’s the real thing: an old man who has to regularly check body parts haven’t dropped off or fused together.
