Charlotte Imbert
It was our last Thursday at Royal George Charing Cross Road last night (we’ve moved our shows at The George to Sunday afternoon and Monday evening) and kicking off the show was the wonderful Sweary Poppins (aka Victoria Dyson), who puts the Dom in domestic and the c**ty in Sweary. Next was Sam Gray and why U2 left the circus. After Sam was Luke Benjamin and why the best place to find a good chiropractor might be Grindr. Next was Andy Laird and some of the many reasons mint and tea tree shampoo should be banned. It was then over to Henry Small and how his family keeps the name short. Andrew Maher then told us all about working in advertising and the Huuuge casino. Hot on Andrew’s heels was another Andrew, Andrew Steel who’s doing his bit to find out just what the most shaggable eagle is. Closing the fist half was Charlotte Imbert (pictured), who doesn’t drink anymore due to a medical emergency that was fortunately solved by her girlfriend and some less than ambient lighting.
Our second half got going, after a bit of mug winning magic, with some great laughs thanks to Matt Tuplin and the cause close to his heart: banning beer that isn’t beer flavoured! It was then over to Kerry Thompson. Kerry’s from Swindon, a town twinned with Ken Barlow. It was then over to Lucca Costa, a man who doesn’t quite get height…in Tinder profiles. Our penultimate act was Matt Smith, a self-confessed bargain bin Jesus who has now got over his God given ass abscess/pile. Closing the show was the utterly mindbending Stuart Turner whom from his big opening to his mind-reading magic and a then bit of danger magic…just not on him
