G&B Dark Delights at The Bell

MJ
Tuesday night at The Bell was G&B’s Dark Delights show, our evening dedicated to comedy’s darker side. First up, and starting as we mean to go on was James Streeter and those moments of PDA: public displays of abuse. After James was Marco Del Valle, man who loves the taste of Milton Keynes in the morning. It was then over to our current reigning New Act queen, Anna Donald, who told us about her aunt, whose days of Irish dancing are long behind her…due to the wheelchair. We then had Owen Stanley and how funerals sort the men out from the boys. Hot on Owen’s heels was Akshar Patel and a set that defies any write-up for reasons of audience safety…yeah, you’re just gonna have to go see him to know what that’s about. After Akshar was MJ (pictured) and a tale that will live with us forever. Sadly not for the person in the story, however. Aarian Mehrabani then tested the room and they all fu**ing failed! Closing the first half was Dipple, who told us the difference between babies and boomerangs, how to get a kid over being an orphan and little fiddles, the favourite instruments of the priesthood.
The second half got going thanks to a G&B classic of horror magic before Steven Mayne dipped out toes into some delicious darkness how rap stars should be renamed. It was then over to Patricia Mihail and why the best regime change come wrapped for Christmas. Richard Jeffery then brought us back round to that dark comedy favourite, a little bit of incest, before Mikee-John Martelle told us about his recent charity work…with the fisting for Widdecombe charity. It was then over to Anton Potasyev, someone who finally brought us some Epstein material! Our penultimate act was the fabulous Jim Hooker and just why digital ID is a pain in the arse. Closing the show was the simply fabulous Ellis Strong, a man who’s afraid of his shadow, cos it’s bloody huge! But he’s not afraid of hard work as he “manages” his nan.
