It was a fun Monday night at The Star of Kings and kicking things off we had the fabulously funny Declan Evans who loves his cider…strictly for his 5 a day. Next was Louis Fletcher (pictured) who will soon be the best man at a wedding in France. He speaks no French so oh la la bibliotheque. It was then ver to Christopher Donovan, the man with a voice that’s a cross between a doctor’s receptionist and a Dalek. David Robinson then told us he’s going grey, which may be an improvement on going ginger. Next was Valerie Steele who reckons Barbie is looking good for her age. After Valerie was Hamish Lloyd Barnes, who was once a nanny with some interesting games for the wannabe princess. It was then over to Cathy White who’s 50 and single aka loves her cats. It was then over to Rick Sen-ley who tells us the best way to get your cooker fixed is by a 19th century chimney sweep. Pete Kinsella was next with the question, how many French fancies makes a nutritious breakfast. Closing the first half was Ali Shahrukhi who told us when the clocks go forward: always!
After the break, and a light bulb moment of magic luck, Billy Kerr got us off to a cracking start with his take on why pizza making is not a romantic pursuit. Alex Rogerson then learned that the right ass can indeed be sweet. It was then over to Iestyn Jones whose least favourite nickname was Iestyn the molestyn. Gabriel Madden then told us all about the new strain of athletes foot he has been cultivating thanks to his warehouse shared bathroom life. We then had the sad tale of the bitmoji thanks to Charlie Firth before Michael Mckenzie explained why it is important not to offend the people of the nation of Clown. Closing the show was Charlie Jackson and his philosophy on how to have the perfect bath. You can also catch Charlie’s show “Bath” at The Rose & Crown this Thursday and Friday.
So that was Monday night at The Star of Kings. Headlining next Monday we have Marc Salmon and Yogie Belle (aka Michael Yanny).
