Sonny Savage
The Star of Kings on November 10th was a cracker of a night. Kicking things off was Tom Draper and the competitive metaphysics between Lent and Ramadan. Next was Rosie G the problems with glittery faux farts. It was then over to Pete Kinsella and just how he ironically fell into his job in Health & Safety. Martina O’Sullivan then told us why she unfollowed Gob before Barbora Beránková assured us she isn’t and never has been part of a very old profession. We then had Jay Middleton who reckons Ryan Air customer service is the only truly safe job that AI will never touch. After Jay was James Loveless who once went steaming to a fancy dress party: he went as an iron. Tony Matthews then gave the crowd some great dance moves and a few celeb impressions before Barbara Fernandez closed the first half with some musical confessions and family truths.
After the break we got off to a great start thanks to Dr Schlong, aka Phil Green. After Phil was Sophie Sharp and why hot tea is a Kiwi metaphor. Charlie Firth then told us about his first real headline role…as Joseph in the Nativity. After Charlie was Torbjørn Lindaas, a man who has enough diagnoses to win ADHD bingo. It was then over to the Ed Shearin of comedy, aka Martin Ashworth, who worries he’s not the guy he promised at work. The evening’s penultimate act was Calvin Smith and the problems with rhythmic gymnastics. Closing the show was the hilarious Sonny Savage. Sonny confessed to getting aggressive if he has thwarted wrong feet on and seriously wonders why anyone would take a football to war with them.
