Monday, December 8th at The Star of Kings was our Christmas fundraiser night. This year our chosen charity was Dogs Trust. Opening the show was thew hilarious Martina O’Sullivan and her problematic bedtime incompatibilities. Next was Eoghan Collins and his family’s lack of love for Oliver Cromwell. It was then over to Nigel Wolfin and the problem with working for an Excel bully. After Nigel was Tracey Bowman and why dating apps are doing little to discourage serial killers before Chris Cowan (pictured) gave us the filthiest of hymns…and no hers. Hot on Chris’ heels was Rohan Ashar and the joys of not being caucasian at Christmas. Martin Ashworth then handed in his notice at work…if ever his set goes online. Closing the first half was our very own musical marvel, the fabulous Barbara Fernandez and a little Christmas ditty as only she could bring.Opening the show’s second half was the hilarious Sue-the-Cleaner (aka Liam Harney) who gave us some great money saving tips for the festive season. Next was Tony Carr and the deal with dick pics and why it was more complicated back in the day. After Tony was Lee VG, a man who knows the misfortune of a dodgy name. Ask Ocean. We then had Charlie Firth and the essential skills you need to own your own home. Nick Bain then let us in on a little secret, for the 200th time, before Declan Evans told us of his TV work and his excitement at nearly meeting Basil Brush. Closing the show was the newest pop sensation, Pam Ford and The Hussies, aka Tony Carr, Charlie Firth and Nick Bain. Pam also let a few take a dip in her sack of cack.
So that was our Christmas charity fundraiser and by the end of the night, thanks to everyone’s generosity and some rather interesting donations to the auction, we raised over £540!
