Sunday afternoon, July 7th, Star of Kings

Sallyann Fellowes
Sunday afternoon at The Star of Kings was an awesome show. First to the stage was Mark Vincent who has an incredible anti-mugging device: his wardrobe! It was then over to Calvin Smith and why the Euros are a better argument for Brexit that the big Tory bus. Mac O’Donnell then explained why he’s a stunning ripped bod type…if he was from a small town and heading for a Star Wars convention. Angela Fletcher hit us with everything from holiday romances to sexy doctors and fatty livers. It was then over to Richard Taylor and tadpoles, tunnels and very early swearwords before Declan Evans extolled the virtues of an Essex education. After Declan was Jo Bodley and the cuddly bi-polar bear. Alexandra Walker then explained why she ended up in an inevitable threesome with the Google maps lady. Hot on Alex’s heels was Sara Louise Aston and the big question: does a sleep marriage count? It was then the turn of Jamie Boder whose DNA is 100% chicken soup and beigel. Tony Carr then told us just why he won’t let a bad word be said about Liz Truss before Claire Hutchison told us why celibacy isn’t a mental health condition. Closing the first half was Carwyn Blayney and the phone montage that absolutely no one asked for.
After the break we had the fabulous Sallyann Fellowes (pictured) give us a preview of her Edinburgh show, Salien. If you know Sallyann, you’ll know this was a glorious 45 minutes of supreme silliness and joy. If you’ve never seen her perform before, sort yourself out and get to see her before she’s too big to be doing places like G&B.
