Mac O'Donnell
Thursday nights at The Royal George are always the best fun and this one was just hilarious from start to finish. First to the stage was the hilarious Declan Evans and why his GCSE results meant he wasn’t going to Hogwarts. Its was then over to Charlie Firth and his time spent on the naughty step. Sonny Savage was next with his deep respect for the peoples of Costa Rica. After Sonny was Chiff Powell, a man who wanted to be an actor or a footballer, but settled on a VAT man. It was then over to Tony Carr, a man who was one quite the dab hand with a homemade skateboard. Lenny Consolo then set out his case why he should be the new ad for Durex before Max Silver explained how to get great biceps: get relegated too often to the friend zone. Then from one gym bunny to another, it was over to Sam Day, Robbie Williams #1 fan. Closing the first half was Callum Mackenzie, a man one described by his ex as a bit rough. Which is no way to describe someone’s eczema.
After the break we got off to a great start thanks to Phil Green and the joys of storm Eunice before Nick Morey told us just why fitness classes might just be the end of him. Next was Ben Marciano and why cannibalism might be the ultimate slap down before Nick Bain let slip that he’s the one stop party she for all your seasonal needs. After Nick we had Mani Ahmed, the result of the greatest cultural Uno reverse card. Mac O’Donnell then relived his strangest gig in the very place it happened before Tiger explained how serial killers could make life easier for those chalk outline drawing specialists. Closing the show was the one and only Jack Scullion, G&B’s poet laureate. Jack treated the room to his signature immersive poetry experience that as always had the room in absolute hysterics.
