Tuesday, April 14th, The Bell
It was a fabulously packed night at The Bell on Tuesday, April 14th, and opening the show we had the hilarious Marc Cohen and some comedy by numbers where the audience chose the numbers. Next was Lincoln Ho and why Febreze is no substitute for deodorant. It was then over to Andrew Steel, the face of every other online troll account. Jill Duncan then told us that you can take the girl out of Southend, but you’ll never fully escape its clutches. Next, doing his first ever gig, was Ewan Griffiths who may still have some issues with his ex…and their seedling. Tony Carr then did the fourth anniversary of his just turning sixty nine gag before Charlotte Imbert demonstrated why you should never ask a French person to visit you in Kent. We then had Mark Kendrick Johnson and some of the many reasons he had to leave Apalacia. Closing the first half was Prakash Mistry who’s hear to learn about our big dick energy, one nan at a time.
Kicking off the second half Amber Phillips did some amazing magic before taking over as MC. The first act up was Rob Wood a man who feels older and older with each passing day… He has kids. Next was Janet Lynn, who recently suffer a rather sad bereavement in her life. She’s struggling with the loss, but getting a new car so soon is painful. Ella Clark then put forward the idea of the age that will bring Gen Z back from the brink: bring back Garfield! After Ella was Dan Lopes who knows just how to avoid a scandal if ever he goes into politics. Hot on Dan’s heels was Anna Donald, who’s truly terrified that one day her idol, David Attenborough, might end up and Epstein reveal. It was then over to Matt Rodriguez, the before model in hair transplant ads. Alistair Nicol then explained the difference between a nan and a nona: one has 20 Woodbine full strength and the other a recipe for carbonara. Our penultimate act was Ellis Strong, a man of many, many talents…and a great fluffer. Closing the show was the simply brilliant Jonny Brace, a man who one day will be the leader of his very own cult. And we’ll all be members!
