It was a quieter night than usual, as often happens when we get the year’s first rays of sunshine, but it was a fun night nonetheless. First to the stage was Mark Vincent with some news that you should never fuck with an XL bully. It was then over to Babetta Mann, the heart of a woman who now knows why the Caged Bird Sings. Next was Connor Bell and why being a twat on the phone isn’t the source of a hate crime. After Connor was David Ferguson and the search for iconic status before Tony Chou confessed his understanding of English stops at Liverpool. Jimbo then told of his deep frustration with Amazon and their inability to sell decent luxury cars. Closing the first half was Phil Green and the cautionary tale that might have you thinking twice about sharing your online diary.
After other break, and a wee bit of card magic, we got off to an awesome start thanks to the utterly puntastic Mark Rivlin, the king of the non-stop one-liners. It was then over to SJ Wyatt and how to get the ultimate revenge on your old school bully. Dean Helliwell then explained why TFL was better than the NHS. Closing the show was the hilarious musical comedy of Jonathan Bennett. Jonny gave us several musical numbers covering everything from discovering you’re gay to the painful hurt upon realising Tom Holland had a girlfriend.
So that was Tuesday at The Bell. Headlining next week we’ve the fabulous Tom Draper and Eoghan Collins.
