We had a great show at the Star of Kings on Sunday – first up was Mac O’Donnell who gave us a new qualification for athletes: Star Wars convention athletic. Amber Phillips then ‘did comedy’ like she ‘licks lampposts’, according to her friends, before Eoghan Collins shared Russell Brand’s recent Christian conversion. It came with a baptism in the Thames by Bear Grills because, as we all know now, Russell’s gonna need those survival tactics. Stanislav Gunko was next, who now feels like he’s become a real Londoner. He knows the best place to live in London…Spain. We then had Connor Bell, who joyfully reports that his gay brother is no longer prone to slurs at the train station, now that Granddad stays home. Closing the first half was the fabulously funny Donal Vaughan. Donal has declared himself a genetic cul-de-sac, in celebration of which he puts a bag on his own head when engaging in afternoon delights.
Our second half kicked off with our own Steven Mayne. Steven is thankful when he gets catcalled as John Lennon: at least it’s the version of John when he was still alive. We then had Edward Demetery, who has lots in common with Jesus: both have friends who betray them and a dad with a God complex. Ian Colyer then shared how rough his school was: students were provided with full body protective gear and life insurance. Lew Mac was next, who shared his GF is tired of living in his ex-wife’s shadow, but, well, Lew refuses to bury her. It was then over to Robin Cousins. Robin says it’s a real shame about the signs saying not to encourage beggars – he was just about to tell one to go back to school to retrain. It was then time for sweet burlesque with the fab Fou Fou Kaboom (pictured), whose love hearts were met with a whale of a reaction. Closing the show was the wonderful Tony Carr. Tony’s blood pressure measured pretty high – if only he hadn’t been watching certain videos at the doctor’s. He also tried a cat cafe – quite a success, as he’d never tasted cat.
So that was our Sunday show! Join us next Sunday at the Star of Kings for more fabulous comedy!
