Sunday afternoon at The Star of Kings was G&B’s Music & Character Comedy show. These are quite simply the best fun and the most sectionable line-ups of utter silliness. First to the stage was Auz Thompson and a song dedicated to the comedy heckler and their massive balls. It was then over to Dominic Edwards (aka Tom Draper) and his new political manifesto. Dominic’s timing is quite perfect…just not when it comes to elections. Stew Simpson (pictured) then had us in tears of laughter thanks to his ode to the capacious end before Nate Patel confessed his obsession with a particular other dudes dude parts. The one and only it/they surreal silliness of Louis Fletcher was next with his unique outlook open the world. Noni then told us of the dish best served with a growth of penicillin. Closing the first half was the hilarious prop comedy of Richard Woolford, the man with the biggest, musical knees in the business.
After the break we got off to a cracking start thanks to Julie (Tracey Bowman), the Ann Summers rep with the vibrating box. After Julie we had Erin Hunter and a fabulous ode to yummy mummies and smelly cats. After Erin was Roger Prick (aka Hannah Whyte). Roger’s books are now available in hardback, paperback and bareback. Hot on Roger’s heels was Sam Hampson, a man from a long line of Daily Mail trolls. It was then over to the machismo Zen world of the fabulously funny Jon Wickham. The afternoon’s penultimate act was the hilarious Marcos Brito and a few tips on the tip of circumcision. Closing the show was the mellifluous Barbara Fernandez and how to lose a bad shag to Scientology. And if you want to see more of the brilliant Barbara you can catch her whole show, “Singing, Sagging and Shagging” next Sunday at the Star of Kings.
