Arthur Mitchell
Monday night at The Star of Kings was a fun show and kicking things off was the hilarious Jack Scullion, G&B’s poet laureate and the man with the bonkers beer mat prose. Next was Con Barbour who has a great idea for TV execs on how to bring The voice up to date and a bit more honest. After con we had the wonderful SJ Wyatt, Doctor Who fan supreme. Did you know the Daleks were just toxic masculinity wrapped up in a fabulous skirt. Laura Madewell then talked about the possibility of a digital dalliance from the Marquis of Mingeminster before Declan Evans confessed to having a greater alcohol intake than a Glastonbury Portaloo. Jonny Brace then confessed, via song, to having a bit of an obsession with the New Hampshire primaries. Cheryl Hurst then told us how to properly celebrate your 24th birthday…three years in a row! It was then over to Martin Ashworth who has found himself in the position of feeling envious of Homer Simpson’s life achievements. Shane Bray then told us why coming out to his parents was just too easy that it verged on being patronising. Closing the first half was the brilliant Pete Kinsella. If ever in Waitrose and you see security playing the tuba, you know Pete’s in there shopping. And in case you were wondering, yeah, drunk Pete loves a new tattoo.
After the break we got off to a great start thanks to Emily McQuade and ghost lads and haunted sex toys. Mac O’Donnell was next with why he reckons charity challenges are getting way too easy. It was then over to Michal Jenicek who’s from the Czech Republic, the country with the best quality icing sugar. Will Pease then got everyone to get in touch with their inner Finsbury Park poodles. Caryn Ovadia confessed to suffering from SAD, which she reckons entitles her to be a BAT (bitch any time). David Hunter then told us he thinks Dalton queens believe monogamy is a condition similar to rickets before Amber Phillips talked us through the trial of conscience needed to purchase a considerate birthday card. Closing the show was the hilarious Arthur Mitchell (pictured). From deceased dogs to Vodaphone love and the sound of true love…or was it TV remote exasperation!?
So that was Monday at The Star fo Kings. Headlining next Monday we have Caroline Madds and Mj Hunter.
