Monday, November 25th, Star of Kings

John Pape
Monday night left me exhausted due to a non-stop barrage of laughter. That was a fun show. First to the stage was Mac O’Donnell, the man responsible with The Met’s new interrogation tactic. After Mac was Tony Carr, a man who reckons the NHS is holding out on him from a video that could make him a TikTok star. Speaking of the NHS, our next act, Eytan Bayme, confessed to recently being diagnosed with a severe case of incurable “So Stupid”. Connor Bell then dedicated his set to his future ex wife before Marc Cohen told us just how much he loves a good porn movie sound track. Nick Gaughan then reminded us just why we all don’t go to church before Sonny Savage had us question the truth behind that famous Christmas Day football match across the trenches. Marcos Brito then told us just why even the women like him, a truth so bold it’s an album cover! Closing the first half was the fabulous Darcy Moreland who has an interesting idea that might help tackle gang crime and bad rhythm in white boys.
After the break we got off to an amazing start thanks to our very own hilarious songbird, Barbara Fernandez. Barbara gave the crowd a hint of what they can expect next Sunday when she brings her finger show, Singing, Sagging and Shagging back to G&B. After Barbara was Casey Stephen Jack and how not to go to Hell…if you’re Catholic. It was then over to Gabriele Medeot and the real issues with crunch peanut butter before Declan Evans thankfully didn’t show us his RASH! After Declan was Mira Haider, a lady whom no matter the emergency, do not call her before 10am! Eoghan Collins then wondered if Sean Penn’s Oscar will soon be the only statue left standing in Ukraine. Our penultimate act was Anoop Singh Kung, a man who sympathises with those in the room that are underapreciated, overworked and in desperate need of a spliff…aka the parents. Closing the show was the simply brilliant, always stylish John Pape (pictured). Now John’s not at all jealous of his friend Jean, despite the fact she is accidentally doing better than him in certain tenuous competition entries. Breath, John, breath.
Well that was a really fun show. Next Monday is out final New Act Competition of 2024. Returning to do their guest spots we have last month’s joint winners Sonny Savage and Kevan Hall.
