Monday, October 20th, Star of Kings

Marc Isaac
We had a fun evening at The Star of Kings last night – first up was Mark Vincent who says his childhood was difficult because of Alcopops – though his dad prefers to be called Dad. Next was Eoghan Collins who gave us the secret to riding a horse – being the ‘little spoon’ – before Ziad Samaha described serial killer attributes, including having a face that looks like you enjoy knots and storing folk in your basement. We then had Ellie O’Brien who asked the age-old question: can you really complete therapy? Regardless, she’s giving it a miss. Gav Webb shared his childhood filled with a magical cat who clearly had nine lives (if the impersonators count) before Prakash Mistry gave us some naan jokes that were quite the takeaway. Closing the first half was the fabulous Tony Carr. Tony loves his kids – not only do they give him the best birthday presents (discounts on his cremation), but they never embarrassed him at their school nativity plays by asking people where they were from or saying they’d shagged somebody’s mum.
Our second half kicked off with Dan James, the new sweaty hands king of London, before Jake Kilov had us all ponder the vagaries of dying on the moon – he might not apply as an astronaut after all. Up next was Tom Bath, a proud member of a Gen X card, a divorce, a new midlife crisis car, and a grudge towards all other generations. Next was Steve Mattey. Steve watches a lot of bikini programmes – how else will he keep up with modern culture? Marcisaaccomedy (pictured) proudly offered psychotherapy services, though shagging isn’t (always) included. It was then over to Gee Watson who, because he says he presents as old, is the proud owner of new pronouns: was and were. Closing our show was the wonderfully bouncy Matthew Mj Hunter. MJ is no fan of a threesome – more effective disappointing people one at a time – and the only one in his school with the proud accolade of having cured the local pedo just with his face.
So that was our show! Join us next Monday at The Star of Kings on October 27th with the hilarious Sam Day and the simply brilliant Phil Green.
