We had a great afternoon at The Star of Kings yesterday – it began with Kyriakos Vlachos, with his lovely ode to those window-shopping-no-not-gay lovelies who are always ready to lend a helping hand…and often more than that. Next up was Tracey Bowman with a selection of bedroom goodies for even the most arthritic WI members, before Evan Henley answered our burning questions about the most renegade member of his family – his mustache. Sue the Cleaner (Liam Harney, pictured) then dished the dirt on how to get the best of cozzie livs – make sure your health-kick oranges are the chocolate kind. We then had Casey Li Brander, who had the good fortune of growing up in the US in a town with 1.5 Asians – her and her mum. It was time for life coaching next with Georgia Thorp. Georgia always runs her life coaching sessions with her trusty whistle at the ready…turns out some of her clients’ main goals include falling asleep. Closing the first half was the wonderfully wacky John Pape. John had the good fortune of attending a gay sex party where everyone drove it home to the same beat – till it was literally time to beat it, as when it comes to timekeeping, they all were a bit an….well, we’ll let you fill in that particular gap at home.
Our second half opened with @tuxedocat, with everything you could want for a satisfied life: doggy class, female no dumping zones and talking feminine hygiene. Next was Ella Clark. Ella has completed Netflix, so she’s now bingewatching the news… now she’s up to date with the latest, such as 9/11. We then had Nathan Plant with some brilliant songs to teach his daughter about life truths, such as Boots inventing footware. Francesca Ayala-Rock shared her Jurassic Park downstairs antics before @jackiesee shared how he wasn’t sure he was gay even though he’d been with a guy – turns out the Buzzfeed test gave him the gospel. It was then over to Jordan Bonner (aka Jordan Raymond) who led us in a Goldilocks storytime, complete with spinning bears and porridge. Closing the show was the musical marvel that is Jonny Brace, who led us in a new kind of Christian singalong. Jonny once almost was Peppa Pig’s daddy (not like that!) – but as the show fell through, he now takes pleasure in educating children on the provenance of porky bits.
So that was our show! Join us next Sunday on October 26th where we’ve the downright hilarious Georgia Thorp and the simply fabulous Martina O’Sullivan.
