Sunday afternoon, March 23rd, Star of Kings

Mark Vincent
Sunday, March 23rd at The Star of Kings turned out a fun afternoon. First to the stage was Paul Steer and why Viagra’s slogan might not have the hook they think it does. Stanislav Gunko then told us just how much respect he has for his nation’s president…for the purpose of social media posts. Next was Chris Wilkinson who was giving us some scaly dragon vibes before Arthur Mitchell told us how much his wife loves one of his moves in bed: the move being rolling over and going to sleep. Hot on Arthur’s heels was Phil Blackmore and the horsey set that created a storm. Richard Taylor then informed us he has largely recovered from a stroke that was definitely not masturbation related. We then had Jordan Jones who told us how to calculate your musician age: your real age plus whatever’s in your bank account. After Jordan was Jonathan Godsi. Jon just got back from his eavesdropping class…not that any of them would have noticed. Paggy RG then why the HDMI 4 is God’s favourite cable. Closing the first half was Lauren Rivers and the tale of karma that taught her not to slag off her father’s genes.
After the break we got going thanks to the musical Eoghan Collins and some well needed sex jokes. It was then over to Ricky Baker, ballet dancer graduate from the school of hard knocks. Deirdre Robertson then let us in on her very own pictographic love language before Steph Cassin had us rejoicing that she may have bucked the family tradition of being killed by cows. After Steph we had the hilarious Ian Colyer who really not a fan of skinny jeans…or haemorrhoids. It was then over to Godfrey Mercado who finally answered the question about his nationality. He’s Asian other. The afternoon’s penultimate act was Mac O’Donnell. When feeling homesick, Mac takes himself off to the Clapham clap clinic just so he c an be surrounded by fellow Australians. Closing the show was the fabulously funny Mark Vincent. Mark confessed to thinking being single’s not that great and often finds himself sitting eating in his pants…when there’s no clean plates, that is.
So that was another fun Sunday afternoon. Headlining next Sunday we’ve Sam day & Mac O’Donnell.
