Monday night at Royal George Charing Cross Road was a bit quieter than usual, but still a fun night nonetheless. First to the stage was Aarian Mehrabani and why he’s now officially a player. It was then over to Charlie Firth (pictured), who debuted a rather fabulous new joke and then some of the greatest hits before Andrew Conway told us why his sister named her kids the way a sommelier does their favourite drinks. After Andy was Tony Matthews, a man from the Far East: Poplar. Hot on Tony’s heels was Matt Tuplin, a quarter Muslim who loves nothing more than a good gunpowder plot. Closing the first half was Rohan Ashar, who blames being out of shape on Kanye West and now loves a bit of workout Bollywood.
After the break Alec Watson got them going with tales of the Alec community and why a frog tattoo can get you a barista job. Next was Cushty and eating his cake and having it. Jason Rose and just why Trump can’t get to grips with Mandarin. The evening’s Penultimate act was Prakash Mistry who dispelled the myth that ladies like a well turned out man. Closing the show was the fabulous Sam Day, aka Ed Shearin from Facebook marketplace. Sam’s a vegan, who loves nothing more than a vegan pizza, better know as beans on toast
