It was another really great night of comedy at The Star of Kings on Tuesday. First up was Neil Ben and everything from the end of time to duck tape and the elephant in the room. It was then over to Mark Vincent and why at a certain age LMAO changes to laughing my arse open. It was then the turn of Becky Jade who’s really getting into her PMT: psychotic me time. After Becky was The Average Russian (aka Luke Harrower) who explained just why Putin is so afraid of Graham Norton. Next was Felix Parkin who recently applied to go on The Traitor…his reason go waaaaay back to childhood. George Bugden then had us all wondering how you lose your virginity when knicky knacky noos is part of your vocabulary. Sam Kearney then let us in on his interesting marketing idea to sell soup before Alex Howard wondered why the Dalai Lama never gets a mention during sex. Mark Nicholas was next with a long overdue diagnosis for the MC before Phillip Cornwall gave us the next big think in corporate speak: objectively benchmarking holistic potentialities. Closing the first half was the brilliantly bizarre Louis Fletcher (pictured). Louis, who claims he has a face only a mother could love, but didn’t, said he writes all his jokes on the train. So if you want his best material, get to Euston to read the 17.45 to Preston.
After the break we got off to a great start thanks to the hilarious Graciela Martin, who reckons if the UK had spent a bit more time working on itself, we’ve have got invited to nice places and not need to invade so much. Clare Samuels was next with the conundrum about just what is well stocked in Stockwell. It was then over to Leo Jannati, who looks a bit like Pablo Escobar if we was in a middle management position in Boots. After Leo was David Robinson and the Amazon warehouse uniform: comfortable shoes and a catheter. It was then over to Farrah Drabu who discovered recently that she might have some ANGER issues. Punster Joey Abels was after Farrah with the going price for a second hand bus. The evening’s penultimate act was Barbara Fernandez and HNS DIY and Parisian low floors. Closing the show was the magical Adam B. Adam wowed the room with some stunning magic including confusing coins and time traveling cards.
So that was another great show this week. Headlining next Tuesday we’ve Mj Hunter and Seam Anderson.
