March 10th, Sunday afternoon at Star of Kings

Sophie Adli
It was a really fun show Sunday afternoon at The Star of Kings. First to the stage was Callum Mackenzie and a great tip on how to make sure you get to sit on your own on a train. It was then over to Declan Evans who wasn’t great at school and was never getting in to Hogwarts. Tiger was next with Thailand’s most popular attraction: ping pong! Becky Jade then told us about getting dumped via FaceTime before Arthur Mitchell confessed to having once been a bit of a ladies man and has the missing teeth to prove it. It was then the turn of the psycho knitter, Jo Bodley, who’ll leave you looking at knitwear in a whole new light. After jo was Kwami Odoom and the faltering romance of the average septuagenarian. Caryn Ovadia was next with how to lose 4lb in a couple of days: Nora virus. Calvin Smith was next with how to get a headline spot thanks to The Samaritans. It was then the turn of Ben Marciano and why the new Skid Row might be best left alone. Closing the first half was Louis Fletcher and everything from inappropriate life modelling to the sexiest colours on the Dulux chart.
After the break we got off to a belter of a start thanks to Kim Hope, the diamanté Duchess with the quaint, indistinguishable accent. It was then over to Sophia Adli (pictured) and why sex parties and wrestling have so much in common. Mac O’Donnell was next with an interesting, if gross, alternative to dry January. Marc Cohen then gave us some tips on how to pass the vasectomy test before Katherine Dellar confessed to having a phobia about needles but a liking for jars. Yes, it’s her Tindr bio. Ian Wood then took us from Vauxhall vegans to Brixton carnivores before Ciaran Millmore mourned the sad loss of his highest pinball score. The show’s penultimate act was Mj Hunter, a man who can never be sent back in time to stop mass murderers…if they have a line in flattery. Closing the show was the utterly hilarious John Pape, the gay community’s catnip and one of the few people who can rock the loo roll on the shoe look.
It’s G&B’s 10th Birthday!!! Tuesday plus the final of our All stars show. So we’ve a busy week ahead. Headlining at The Star of Kings next Sunday we have Mark Nicholas and Carwyn Blayney.
