Sunday, April 12th, Star of Kings

Stu Turner
It was an absolute cracker of an afternoon at The Star of Kings on Sunday all kicked off with some hilarious life skills advice from Amber Phillips, who’s not a fan of ready meals. It was then over to Andrew Steel, a man who’s really winning at art therapy. After Andrew was the hilarious Rosie G and the problem with ladybird wee before Roger Clarke induced OCD in way too many of the audience. Jonny Blostone then gave us some great summer tips on how to avoid getting wasp stings. Next was MJ, who struggles with the trend of polyamory and the amount of admin it now takes for a simple blowjob. Gabriel Celaya then told us that fish are ugly, but capybara are delicious. Next as Simon Draper, a man who gives off big nick ya vibes. Steve Hawthorne then told us of his new home ritual and the abuse that happens on the landing. After Steve was James Streeter and just how sexy football cards aren’t. Closing the first half was Godfrey Mercado, a man who may not have the height to stop his kids’ bullies, but has the build to never be found at hide-and-seek.
After the break we got off to a great start thanks to Mani Ahmed, who has wondered for some time whether he has squandered his accent potential. We then had Charlotte Imbert who should just have had a quick boot sale at the library. After Charlotte was Stephen Portlock and the problem with badly thought through toilet paper dispensers. Next was Dan Grennan, whose moustache is very popular with glory hole fans. It was then over to Alistair Nicol and the important difference between a nana and a nona. Jonathan Laury then told us of the battle his dog is currently waging with the squirrels and their chocolate. Our penultimate act was Sophie Stemmons who has plans on how to create a superjew child. Closing the show was the fabulous Stuart Turner (pictured) who hit us with some spectacular magic before closing the show horsing around waiting for his explosive finale.
