It was a lively Wednesday at The Bell and kicking (clicking) things off was Amber Phillips, gearing up for her first quarter life performance review. Next was Liam Harney (Sue the Cleaner, pictured), who does her laundry while dressed as Margaret Thatcher. Rosie Gray followed with her maiden and final attempt at a pun before Susan Heather Kitcatt bounced on stage with a personality that’s basically one big wow . Nathan Plant came next, the tattooed guy who has definitely had sex, and closing the first half was Lucy Jenner with the uphill battle of dyslexia in more than one language.
After the break Eoghan Collins opened the second half with some truly creative uses for Shania Twain posters. Sofia Cano then revealed she may be the only person alive to get fired from a nightclub. Torbjørn Johannessen Lindaas arrived with so much fomo he showed up two weeks before he was born, while Paul Rowinski explained what it means to be Brit-ish. Keith Mendes rounded things out before the closer and admitted he only became a doctor because his mum told him it would help him get girls. Bringing the night home was Jonny Brace, who is absolutely not a fan of Peppa Pig.
And that’s the show at The Bell, a warm and rowdy evening that packed in plenty of laughs (and the odd scream.) Same time next week for more of the good stuff.
