Sunday afternoon, January 28th, Star of Kings

Tevin Everett
It was a really fun show at The Star of Kings on Sunday afternoon. First to the stage was Callum Mackenzie who confessed he once wanted to be a dentist. It was then over to Onojie Idemudia, the Gordon Ramsey of demon feeding. Mr Corporate, Phillip Cornwall, was next with some proactively conceptualising holistic methodologies. It was then over to Steven Mayne aka HahahaSteve. It used to be just HahaSteve, but he got finnier. Calvin Smith was next with his brilliant redo of the Seven deadly sins before Mark Vincent told us he has blood like porridge, liver like concrete and a prostate that’s joined ISIS. Stephen Portlock then brought to our attention the 45 degree issue in the gents before Zak Baker told us about being in a long term relationship with a bit of premature gum. We then had the fabulous Slack Janets ( Sallyann Fellowes & Martin Dixon) and a bit of an inside look at the Horizon problems…and matches. Closing the first half was Barbara Fernandez and NHS DIY, grave robbing and Saturday gang bangs.
After the break we got off to a great start thanks to Laura Gómez, a lady whose Moto is “work clever, not hard”. Victoria Blunt then started by lying about her age before demonstrating just how she can’t do accents. It was then the turn of Tim Purchas and why a sign telling him to keep off the grass convinced him to try the coke. Paul Little then had us in tears of laughter with his loose tooth and tender lover set before Tevin Everett (pictured) told us why despite not being a fan of trump, he can’t help respect a good slogan. It was then over to Mac O’Donnell whose maybe not book smart, a statement his old university agrees with. Georgia Thorp then explained that breasts are a bit like identical twins: they are rarely identical. The afternoon’s penultimate act was Declan Evans who told us about the most unfortunate shopping list mix up. Closing the show was the wonderfully weird, brilliantly bizarre James Sutton. If you like your comedy with a surreal twist a side order of WTF! Then you really need to check James out next time you see him performing somewhere.
So that was Sunday. Headlining next Sunday we have the brilliant Marc Salmon
